Weingut Diehl symbolizes a true piece of tradition – founded in 1972 by Helmut Diehl and since then family-owned. And with success. For the past two years, grandson Thomas Diehl has brought fresh ideas as a newcomer. The COVID period highlighted how important the digital world is for traditional businesses, and that’s where we come in – Weingut Diehl goes Instagram.
Normally, we start such projects with a strategy session, develop a custom concept, and then focus on content creation. But what's normal anyway? Since the grape harvest waits for no one, we flipped the script and kicked off this time with a photo shoot. So off to the Rotenberg.
As true city kids, we were already impressed by the drive through the vineyards and their breathtaking backdrop (highly recommended for a trip). Even more fascinating, however, was the behind-the-scenes look at the winery. Lots of manual labor, a high standard of quality, and a great deal of love and passion. We captured all these attributes with the camera and will soon share them on the Weingut Diehl Instagram channel with you.
Thomas' career path is anything but conventional, just like him. Until two years ago, he worked as a business consultant, advising both start-ups and family offices. Berlin, Zurich, and London were his homes. He has now turned his back on that world and is following in his parents' footsteps.
In a short time, he has shaken things up at the winery, taking a completely new approach with digital tastings, various collaborations and partners, and special wine editions. His path. The young mind is full of innovative ideas, and we look forward to continuing the collaboration – one thing we can promise: it will be exciting!
